5 simple steps to permanently delete your Facebook Account:


 


Right from the launch, Facebook has gained a massive popularity among all the age groups. But due to the recent data scandals like Cambridge Analytica, people are now becoming more conscious about their data which resides in the facebook server. But not all of us here are tech savvy and deleting the Facebook may not be an easy task who does not know how to do it. Go to Facebook and login with your credentials. Then press the menu on the top-right corner.

After clicking the menu Scroll down and you will find a option "Account ownership and control" click it.

In the next page you will find 3 options. Select the "Deactivation and Deletion".

In this page you will be able to either deactivate or delete your facebook. As we are deleting so select the Delete Account and press Continue to account deletion.

Scroll down and press Delete account. Your account will be deleted permanently**.



** Do keep in mind that Facebook does not delete your account instantly, instead Facebook gives the user a 30 day period during which the user can re enable his/her Facebook account. So if after deleting the account you again log in to the same account then the deletion process will be cancelled and your account will be fully restored as it was. So if you are sure about deleting your Facebook account then do not log in with the same credentials within next 30 days.

On the last page you will encounter three options:
  1. The first option will give you the chance to deactivate your facebook account and keep using your facebook messenger.
  2. The second option enables you to download the data that you have given or uploaded to facebook. This data includes everything from your posts, photos to your messages. I recommend you to download this data. Facebook will provide you a zip file where all this data will be available.
  3. The third option is very important. We all use facebook to log in to different apps and websites. But when we delete our facebook account we will not be able to access those account on which we signed up using facebook. For example: if you have signed in to your PubG account with only Facebook, then after deleting the Facebook account you won't be able to access the PubG account anymore. So before deleting the account you should check which accounts are logged in using facebook, and make sure to add other login option to those apps or websites before deleting Facebook permanently.
